Östersund Municipality is looking for a teacher in visual arts, design, and crafts
Östersund Municipality has over 5,600 employees across seven departments. We operate in 400 different professions and work towards a common goal: to make citizens' lives richer, simpler, and safer. The Culture School has about 1,100 students throughout the municipality and 35 staff members.
Your new job
The interest in visual arts, design, and crafts is at an all-time high among our youth in Östersund. Therefore, we need to expand with an additional teacher in the subject. The position is full-time, but if you wish to work 60% or 80% and combine it with your own artistic practice, this can be discussed.
Start date: By agreement.
Common tasks
Our students are primarily of school age. The position includes:
- Group teaching.
- Collaboration in subject teams and work teams.
- Collaborations in joint exhibitions, projects, and performances developed by the faculty.
Teaching takes place mainly in our facilities at the Culture School centrally and on Frösön. Open and outreach activities in schools and at leisure clubs/community centers in the northern parts of the municipality will also be included. Working hours are mostly scheduled for afternoons and early evenings. Planning and conference times are in the mornings.
We are looking for you
